
Put smiles on the faces of your children and guests with fun and yummy Christmas treats. For holiday parties serve kid-friendly foods with a festive twist.
There are some foods that are hits with just about all kids. To be on the safe side include at least some of these in your menu:
- macaroni and cheese
- chicken nuggets or tenders with dipping sauces (ranch, bbq, honey mustard)
- beans and franks
- nachos (tortilla chips with cheese and beans)
- pasta - spaghetti and other fun shaped pastas (bow ties, spirals and even Christmas trees) - some kids don't like tomato sauce, so have butter and cheese as an option
- pizza - use pita bread or English muffins for make your own single serve pizzas. If ordering from pizza parlor, order largest size you can use (best value) and ask them to cut it "party style" (small diamonds or squares) to avoid slices that are too big and hard to handle
- finger sandwiches (make sandwich with peanut butter or cheese spreads, trim crusts and cut into 4 squares or triangles)
- scalloped potatoes
- tater tots
- baby carrots with ranch dressing
- cheese cubes
- crackers decorated like snowman faces with cream cheese and olives
- home baked giant pretzels
- popcorn with topping choices of taco seasoning, parmesan cheese, Italian herbs, and cinnamon sugar
- salty snack mix (mini pretzels, small cheese crackers, peanuts)
- sweet snack mix (animal crackers, cereal, raisins, m&m candies)
- cinnamon buns
- crescent rolls with jam, cheese, or chocolate inside
- cupcakes decorated with candy canes or other holiday candy
- cupcake tree (green cupcakes arrange in a tree shape)
- snowy brownies (dust with powdered sugar just before serving)
- fizzy fruit punch (berry juice with sparkling apple juice or ginger ale)
- hot chocolate or hot apple cider
- gingerbread or sugar cookies
- snowball cookies (also called Russian tea cakes or Mexican wedding cookies)
